Rambles Round Barnet Update
Footpath closure affecting ‘Rambles Round Barnet’ Part 1.
Update to infomation.
This is for walkers following the directions for WALK 1 and who are heading back to Barnet having reached the war memorial at the junction of Totteridge Lane with Barnet Lane.
In paragraph 7, lines 5 and 6, the guide recommends the walker to take a footpath to right, just beyond Lime Grove, point (7) on the map.
At the time of writing (11th September 2013) this footpath has been closed off by the builders working on a nearby property. The Local Authority have no record of this closure and will take it up with the builders.
In the meantime, ramblers should walk down Lime Grove to the T junction at its end, turn left and walk to the end of this short stretch of road. The lower closure of the footpath is clearly seen on left, so, by turning right at this point, the original footpath will be regained.
