For many years my parents Doreen and Harry Drabble helped raise money for the Barnet Branch and the Marie Foster Home. I remember Marie well. A lovely lady. As children and youngsters my brother and I were volunteers too, pushing wheelchairs, fetching and carrying, playng games. My mother used to drive the old ambulance and we went away for a week every year to provide support for people's holidays. I have a lot of fond memories. I worked in the Home as an axhillary nurse 1979-1981 and again working odd nights around 1986. I have a lot of fond memories.
