I commute on a motorcycle along the A1000 and the newly installed cycle lanes have already made the route considerably more hazardous. The segregated bus and cycle lanes (why are other vulnerable road users excluded?) now squeeze us into even less space for filtering past traffic, leaving little to no room as a safety buffer. SIX TIMES more motorcyclists than cyclists were killed in London last year yet we are ignored.... I look forward to squeezing past lorries, buses and other traffic whilst a decent portion of the road I could be using lies empty.
