Having worked in the reading room of the Barnet Press from 1954-1970 I was very sad to learn of the demise of the BP. As you so rightly say Miss Cowing would turn in her grave at this turn of events, as the Press and Barnet itself did indeed mean so much to her.
We have lived in France for 13 years and in the process at looking back at my time in Barnet have discovered this closure.
