“ I was amazed to see that a most enterprising parking warden had placed a penalty charge notice on a vehicle in Granville Road last week. The vehicle had parked on a single yellow line, but the yellow lines in Granville Road have only been painted in ANTICIPATION OF THE 10TH SEPTEMBER START of the extended CPZ around Barnet Hospital. I know the Council coffers are low but this is a bit much even by Barnet's standards. If the poor owner wants to complain that they have not contravened any parking restrictions, I see that they need to post their letter of complaint to Barnet Parking Services in Hellaby, Sheffield, where I am sure they have plenty of local knowledge of Barnet. ”
