Your resumé on the development is somewhat misleading.

The main building stretches over 60m from the short wing facing Wood Street to a garden area at the rear of the site. The only two storey part is on Wood St - on the Hillside Crescent side.

The principal elevation runs parallel to Cattley Close and Hillside Crescent - and is over 3.5 stories high at the rear, as they plan to build on an elevated platform rather than follow the contours of the hill.

The trees at the front will be retained, but a group of large mature trees further back on the site will go ..

The retained portion of garden will be visible from about three households and the enclosed dementia unit, so it’s preservation is of no use to the surrounding flats and dwellings.

The area behind the town houses at the rear of Cattley Close becomes car parking.

It’s a good idea to build an upmarket nursing home on this plot, but the proposal does need amending, especially on the massive 60m long, three + storey elevation facing Cattley Close.
