“ Development of a large, 100-bed hotel with substantial extra parking needs, frequent lorry deliveries and noisy 24-hour taxi and car arrivals/departures in a largely residential area will have a dramatically negative impact on the Chipping Barnet scene and the lives of the Chipping Close residents. How would the Barnet Society members feel about having a 100-bed hotel built 10m away from their front door? Because the Barnet Society chooses to endorse this totally inappropriate and destructive development I will not renew my membership. ”
