My grandmother (Lottie Dinner) was born in Barnet in 1895 and when she was 2 years old her mother died and she was put in a children's home until she was 20. Her father was a carman (more horse and cart than 'car') and he had two illegitimate families living in neighbouring roads! I am hoping there might be some references to the Dinner family. ”
