“ One would hope, that whatever the outcome, consideration will be given by the experts involved in any excavation and any subsequent 're-landscaping' of the grounds, that the possibility of the ancient earthwork, variously known as Grim's Ditch or Dyke, conjectured for well over a hundred years, that it my have gone eastward from Barnet Gate, along Wood Street to Ravenscroft Gardens, then northwards (I firmly believe) to Old Fold Manor, will be taken into consideration in any study of the area.
