A new brasserie and retail space - to be called Botannika - is to take over the former Carluccio's restaurant at the entrance to the Spires shopping centre in High Street, Barnet.

Botannika, a newly formed company established by restaurant entrepreneur Serdar Demir, told the Barnet Society that it hopes its new restaurant and retail concept will be ready to open at the Spires by the end of November.

Social media posts say the new brasserie – in a botanical themed interior space – will offer a range of “healthy, tantalising range of dishes”, baked goods, and an extensive vegan menu.
Botannika will be an all-day operation including a brunch menu and an evening menu offering a selection of small plate dishes.
Alongside the brasserie will be a retail space that will stock a range of organic brands.

Workmen have been busy for several days altering the inside of the former Carluccio’s restaurant which has been vacant since March at the start of lockdown.
An upbeat post on Instagram heralded the change in tenancy: “The keys have been handed over! Let’s get to work! @botannikalondon coming soon to Barnet High Street.”

In announcing the re-opening of one of the two vacant flagship units at the entrance to the Spires shopping centre, Botannika said it hoped the brasserie would have quite an impact on Barnet High Street and was planning for a busy pre-Christmas period.
Mr Denir, who established the new business, opened the Mantl restaurant in Knightsbridge two years ago offering “Turkish cuisine with a twist.”

Botannika’s social media posts say the new brasserie is recruiting staff and applicants should apply to This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.
