“ The Spires entrance from the High St definitely needs to be improved and made more welcoming. However, I'm just amazed that an organisation like the Pears Group have managed to find some design value in the 2 proposals.
Retain the Spires, but please can we have a more imaginative approach. And frankly the architect must have been on crack to think that the “stepped massing of the facade”, would again create a strong visual connection between the Spires and the High Street".
Architects train for 7 years and the Pears Group have been in property management for donkey's years and these options are the best they could come up with???
Please, let's have a competition amongst the primary schools pupils of Barnet to come up with a more inspiring and deserving design... ”
